Most REN leather is suwage—natural, uncoated leather with no surface treatments.
Because of its high absorbency, water may leave marks after drying if the surface is not protected.
For those who wish to prevent this, a waterproof spray can be helpful—but it is entirely up to your personal preference.
If the leather gets partially wet
If the leather comes into contact with clear water, gently blot the area with a dry handkerchief or towel to absorb the moisture, then allow it to dry naturally.
Please avoid rubbing the wet area, as this may cause discoloration or the stain to spread.
If the leather is stained with colored liquids, use a well-wrung damp towel to gently blot the affected area and its surroundings to absorb the moisture.
While it may not be possible to restore the leather to its original color completely, prompt action can help reduce the visibility of the stain.

If the stain is caused by colored liquids, we recommend consulting a professional cleaner as soon as possible. Please discuss the cleaning method thoroughly with them before proceeding.
