With its square body and short handles, the “Basic Square L” embodies a truly minimal design. There are no gussets or metal fittings — its primitive simplicity and understated form are what make it so appealing. That’s also what allows the natural texture of BARE leather to stand out beautifully.

For example, the opening of the bag gently shifts its shape — it may slouch or expand slightly depending on the weight of what’s inside. Because the entire bag follows the natural contour of your body, it feels like something you wear as part of your outfit. It pairs beautifully with both casual looks and more polished styles.
The bag features three inner pockets, one of which has a zipper. To keep the opening from sagging unnaturally when filled, the pockets are intentionally positioned slightly lower inside the bag.
The handles are folded to add thickness, giving them a soft, springy feel that fits comfortably in your hand. Their moderate length helps reduce pressure when carried on the shoulder, while the supple opening makes it easy to slip your arm through — even over thick knits or coats.
BARE
Original goatskin has a soft texture and natural feel. Goatskin, with its fine grain, is resistant to mold and friction.
On the other hand, it is also known as a soft and pleasant leather. The leather is tanned with minimal dyes and oils to bring out its natural grain.
When stored at low temperatures, the surface may appear white. Wipe it off gently with a soft cloth or warm it with a hair dryer, and the oil will melt and blend naturally.

Scratches do not disappear, but the more you use the leather, the more the surface of the leather becomes shiny and the more the scratches and color irregularities become familiar. Please note that we cannot accept returns or exchanges due to scratches or uneven coloration.

If worn with denim, indigo-dyed or cotton clothing, the color of the clothing may transfer to the leather due to friction. Also, if the bag gets wet due to rain, sweat, or friction, the color of the leather may transfer to your clothing. Please be careful when matching the bag with light color clothing.

Waterproofing sprays may be applied, but please read the instructions for use of that product carefully and dry well after spray application.
