The Daily Backpack Mid is crafted entirely from leather, with the exception of hardware such as adjusters and zippers.
Because the shoulder straps and back panel are also made of leather, the backpack offers a snug, almost “second-skin” comfort. REN’s staff all agree that its fit is so addictive you’ll never want to take it off.
Generally, a full-leather backpack of this size would weigh around 1kg. This one, however, is only about 700g — as light as carrying a fabric bag.
With a tall, elongated silhouette, the backpack offers plenty of room even when fully packed. And even when filled, it relaxes into a soft, slouchy shape — much like the effortless ease of wearing an oversized shirt.
When carrying fewer items, the side adjusters allow you to fine-tune the capacity. The drape created when tightened adds a distinctive design accent.
The exterior pocket comes in a rare slit style, and the bag is equipped with distinctive, functional details throughout. Yet with no fabric paneling, the overall impression remains thoroughly minimal.
BARE
Original goatskin has a soft texture and natural feel. Goatskin, with its fine grain, is resistant to mold and friction.
On the other hand, it is also known as a soft and pleasant leather. The leather is tanned with minimal dyes and oils to bring out its natural grain.
When stored at low temperatures, the surface may appear white. Wipe it off gently with a soft cloth or warm it with a hair dryer, and the oil will melt and blend naturally.
