This square-shaped bag is crafted from REN’s signature sheep mesh—known for its fine, densely woven texture and supple, almost clingingly soft feel. It’s a piece that lets you fully appreciate the luxurious character of sheep leather.
Spacious enough for daily essentials like a long wallet, smartphone, folding umbrella, and even a water bottle. The structured square design keeps its shape even when fully packed, adding to its everyday usability. There are also pockets on both inner sides to help keep your items organized.
The woven shoulder strap is wide enough to offer stability and comfort. Its bold appearance also makes it a great accent to your outfit. You can adjust the length freely by tying the ends—wear it short like a sling bag to highlight the horizontally shaped square body.
SHEEP MESH
Sheepskin originally tanned for gloves is knitted into a single piece of leather mesh using the Ajiro knitting technique. This method is similar to the knit and sewn method used for clothing, where the leather is knitted into a single piece and then cut and sewn. To take advantage of the supple texture of the raw hides, more oil is added than usual. The pigment used to adjust the color is also mixed with oil and sprayed very thinly to make it blend in, in pursuit of a touch that feels as if it is absorbed by the hand. This material was completed with the cooperation of an atelier in India where craftsmen specializing in the formation of leather mesh gather.
