#45/ Butterfly shoulder bag (bitter brown) / cowhide "APERTO"

The new “Butterfly Shoulder” features a unique design that looks like two compact pouches connected by a shoulder strap. The strap is detachable, allowing each pouch to be used separately when removed—offering flexibility in both style and function.

One of the pouches includes a divider and an inner pocket, while the other has a simple, open design with no compartments. You can use each one according to its features—organizing your items in a way that suits your needs.
They also work well as smart bag-in-bag organizers, or you can take just one pouch with you when visiting places like museums or while traveling. Whether for daily use or special outings, this versatile design adds both function and fun to your routine.

While the detachable pouch function is certainly convenient, the bag doesn’t look like “just a pouch with a strap.” Thanks to the piped edge detailing along the sides of each pouch, the design maintains the refined structure and presence of a true handbag.

APERTO

REN’s original leather, “APERTO”, is a mixed-tanned cowhide crafted by skilled tanners in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. Infused with ample oil, the leather fibers are softened to achieve a refined, delicate grain. Despite its lightweight and supple texture, it retains exceptional strength even when processed into thin layers. Over time, the leather develops a richer softness, sheen, and character, offering an evolving charm with use.
This series marks REN’s first adoption of a backing process. The interior lining features “Bonseyn,” a high-grade artificial suede known for its superior elasticity. Its sophisticated texture and lightweight nature complement Aperto’s elegance, resulting in a more refined and polished series.
