How to Use

Once a stain or mark has set, it cannot be completely removed with personal care. However, prompt attention may help reduce its visibility.

When the surface of the leather starts to look slightly dirty, we recommend using a delicate cream. Apply a very small amount to a soft white cotton cloth and gently work it into the areas of concern.

While this product also provides nourishment, its primary purpose is cleaning. For optimal care, we recommend using it in combination with a conditioning cream.

Our Philosophy on Care

Many leather brands recommend regular care to keep products in pristine condition, encouraging careful, deliberate use. At REN, however, we don’t view scratches or marks that appear through use as something negative. Just as each person is unique and valuable, so too is every piece of natural leather—bearing its own character and variation. Scratches and color irregularities are proof of the material’s authenticity, and rather than hiding them with coatings, we choose to preserve and celebrate the natural texture as it is. That’s why we believe care is entirely up to the individual. If you feel that the marks and character gained over time make the piece even more personal and cherished, then there’s no need to apply any care products at all. If, on the other hand, you’d like to keep the leather looking as close as possible to its original condition, leather care creams are available. They help blend surface dirt, relieve dryness and fading, and restore moisture and luster to the leather. Because leather is protein-based, it is sensitive to humidity and can be prone to mold. It may also develop water stains if exposed to rain. In such cases, applying a waterproof spray can help—it not only repels water but also protects the surface from dirt, preserving the texture for longer.
