A structured bag with a refined feel may seem a little unusual for REN. Details such as the piping that defines the curved sides and the metal feet on the base are rarely seen in our bags. Yet once you start using it, you’ll find the familiar qualities that make it distinctly REN.
A typical Boston-style handbag is often reinforced through the front of the body to help maintain its shape. This bag, however, is intentionally left unstructured, allowing the leather to remain soft and supple.
When carried on the shoulder with your belongings inside, the bag naturally relaxes and settles against the body. It has a slightly casual feel reminiscent of a sports bag, while the arched frame keeps the silhouette looking refined. This balance between structure and softness is what gives the bag its distinctly REN character and comfortable feel.
Details such as the edges of the straps are intentionally left minimally finished, preserving the natural texture and character of the leather.
The small hardware connecting the strap is designed to stay discreet and out of the way when carried. With its refined look, the bag also works well for special occasions or days when you want to dress up a little.
VALENCIA
This original chrome-tanned leather has a soft and fluffy texture.
As a final finishing touch, the surface is treated with an ultra-thin finish to make it stain resistant. This unique leather is thick yet soft and stands out for its chunky texture among cowhides.
Its natural texture does not change significantly over time and can be used for a long time.
