The bill compartment can hold about 10 bills. When you place cards in each of the three card pockets, it takes on this shape. Even a ¥10,000 bill can fit without being folded. At first, the leather may feel tight due to its stiffness, but as you use it, the leather will stretch, allowing you to store more cards. You can stack a few cards in each pocket for added storage.
