The Square Duffel XS is defined by its wide, square base, creating a sculptural silhouette. Despite its compact name, it comfortably fits a long wallet, an A5 notebook, and even a tablet—offering more than enough room for everyday use. Fill it to emphasize its structured form, or carry a little less and let the top fold naturally for a softer silhouette that sits comfortably on the shoulder.

A wide base provides generous room inside, while the bag maintains a compact silhouette on the shoulder. Its balanced proportions prevent it from overwhelming the body, making it a natural choice for those with a smaller frame. The handles are intentionally kept at a comfortable length, creating an equally balanced look when carried by hand.

The double-zip closure opens from either side, allowing you to leave the zipper exactly where it feels most convenient.

The zipper extends deep along both sides, allowing the opening to spread wide for a clear view of everything inside. The shoulder straps are generously proportioned, making it easy to access your belongings while the bag remains comfortably on your shoulder.

This is REN's original pigskin. Pig skin is a material that is relatively prone to scratches and uneven coloring, and was commonly used as a backing material. However, we saw its potential in its light weight, high density, durability despite its thinness, breathability, and fabric-like suppleness. By studying the differences in density and texture of different parts of the hides, as well as the dyes used, and by developing a method that wastes as little raw hides as possible, the appeal of this material is now reaching many people.

Because it is natural leather, REN makes bags without discarding the scratches, grains, and uneven coloring that are part of the leather's character. Scratches do not disappear, but the more you use the leather, the more the surface of the leather becomes shiny and the more the scratches and color irregularities become familiar.
