The "Address Wallet Short" is a compact version of the original bifold notebook-style "Address Wallet." While retaining the classic design, it offers the benefits of a more compact size. Instead of merely reducing the size, the thickness of the leather and the layering have been adjusted to enhance usability, resulting in a design that is both functional and easy to use.

Key Feature: Card Storage in the Bill Compartment.A standout feature of the Address Wallet Short is the card storage space located in the bill compartment. In addition to the interior card slots, there is a dedicated space on the right side of the bill compartment for storing frequently used cards. This allows you to access these cards without having to open the belt, adding to the wallet's convenience and usability. This thoughtful detail enhances the overall user experience, making the wallet both practical and easy to use.

The exterior is made from BUBBLE CALF cowhide, a material known for its rich, textured grain, tanned by the prestigious French tannery, Dupuy. For the interior, we use flat-textured cowhide and pigskin, creating a striking contrast in materials and a playful mix of colors.

The meticulous attention to color extends to the edges of the leather, known as "koba." The edges are carefully painted to match the grey and deep burgundy shades of the leather. This process requires extra effort and time, but we remain uncompromising in our commitment to quality and detail.

The sewing of REN's Address Wallet is done by Yukari Kimura, the designer of the leather item brand "LITSTA," which has a shop in Kuramae. This wallet is a product born from the unique connections within the Kuramae community.

The skiving process to adjust the leather thickness and the branding of REN's logo are also done by Ms. Kimura's skilled hands. Each piece is crafted meticulously, ensuring that every step is carried out with care and precision, without skipping any details. She carefully feels and assesses each piece of leather, making sure the final product meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

BUBBLE CALF

This shrink-wrapped calf is tanned by the prestigious French tannery Dupuis.

Only the highest quality raw hides are carefully selected from European calves, mainly from France, and finished by chrome-tanning. The high quality surface has good coloring, moderate elasticity, and a suppleness that makes the leather feel as if it is absorbent in your hand. It is resistant to water and dirt, and even after use, the grain does not collapse and continues to change into a beautiful expression. One of the reasons why we chose this luxury leather, which is well-known in the leather industry and especially supported by maisons, is that it has a natural grain but a rubber-like texture. I was intuitively attracted to this hybrid look.

I am also attracted by the fact that the expression changes depending on the part to be cut, and I pay a lot of attention to the cutting process.
