Founded in Tokyo, Japan, REN is a leather goods brand known for its simple, lightweight designs and the authentic texture of its materials.
We live in an age where we are inundated with a variety of things. In 2005, we wanted to create a new standard, so we began our journey with the brand name 'REN'—a name that is simple, clear, and not tied to any existing word, free from any specific commitment or worldview.

Materials & Design
We work with a range of leathers, including goatskin and pigskin, and place great value on preserving the leather’s natural character.
For this reason, our bags may retain the marks and variations inherent to genuine leather, which we regard as part of their individuality.
Through techniques such as undyed finishes and handwoven mesh, we continue to explore the possibilities of each material.
Rooted in the Japanese concept of “fukuro,” the essential form of a bag, our designs are created to accompany everyday life.

We, however, do not see scratches or stains from use as flaws.
Just as every person is unique, each piece of natural leather has its own character.
Marks and variations in color are proof of its authenticity.
Rather than concealing them with coatings, we preserve the leather’s natural texture in our craftsmanship.
