One of the defining features of the sheep mesh is its exceptional softness, but the base is crafted from a single piece of leather to provide structure. This gives the bag stability when placed on the ground and prevents the mesh from snagging. As the mesh softens even more over time with use, the sturdy base will stand out even more as a unique design feature.

The bag is deep enough to fully hold a 500ml bottle, a folding umbrella, or a long wallet vertically—yet not so deep that it becomes difficult to find what you need. Its moderate depth makes it easy to see and retrieve your belongings quickly.

 SHEEP MESH

Sheepskin originally tanned for gloves is knitted into a single piece of leather mesh using the Ajiro knitting technique. This method is similar to the knit and sewn method used for clothing, where the leather is knitted into a single piece and then cut and sewn. To take advantage of the supple texture of the raw hides, more oil is added than usual. The pigment used to adjust the color is also mixed with oil and sprayed very thinly to make it blend in, in pursuit of a touch that feels as if it is absorbed by the hand. This material was completed with the cooperation of an atelier in India where craftsmen specializing in the formation of leather mesh gather.
