SHEEP MESH
Sheepskin originally tanned for gloves is knitted into a single piece of leather mesh using the Ajiro knitting technique. This method is similar to the knit and sewn method used for clothing, where the leather is knitted into a single piece and then cut and sewn. To take advantage of the supple texture of the raw hides, more oil is added than usual. The pigment used to adjust the color is also mixed with oil and sprayed very thinly to make it blend in, in pursuit of a touch that feels as if it is absorbed by the hand. This material was completed with the cooperation of an atelier in India where craftsmen specializing in the formation of leather mesh gather.
