The Box Backpack is crafted entirely from leather, except for essential hardware such as adjusters and zippers. With leather used even on the shoulder straps and back panel, it offers a supple, almost “second-skin” comfort that REN’s staff all agree is irresistibly pleasant to carry.
And despite being all leather, it weighs only about 400g — remarkably lightweight, as if you were carrying a fabric bag.

The backpack is not only comfortable to wear on both shoulders but also easy to carry on just one. Original goatskin has a soft texture and natural feel. Goatskin, with its fine grain, is resistant to mold and friction.

On the other hand, it is also known as a soft and pleasant leather. The leather is tanned with minimal dyes and oils to bring out its natural grain.

When stored at low temperatures, the surface may appear white. Wipe it off gently with a soft cloth or warm it with a hair dryer, and the oil will melt and blend naturally.
